I will confess I did actually download it via torrent as it looked too similar to Shinovi with extra characters. But buying it is a sale for the devs and what drives them to release more on Steam. So its win-win reallyAs much as I like the game I do find the gameplay extremely repetitive, buttom mashing, stripping, transforming and more stripping. I think to improve the game would be bigger stages and having allies and NPC's similar to Dynasty Warriors style instead of it being you against 100's.

If you enjoyed shinovo, id say grab it. Ive only got a little over an hour in so far and its basically the same game but vastly improved. The animation quality during combat is basically the same, but combat is slowed down a tiny bit so you can actually see whats going on and do combos instead of just mashing x (which you can still totally do if you want.). And the cutscenes are ACTUAL cutscenes this time. Instead of people just standing there and jumping up and down or moving back and foirth 2 inches and you only ever see the top half of their bodies, the camera pans around, people move around, and its all very well animated. And there are also nice little annimu scenes as well where they put ALOT of detail into the animation.also, theres an auto scrolling textbox option now, so you dont have to wear out your controller mashing x through the 5 minutes of reading before and after every fight.oh.

And most of the breasts got bigger. I think the old lady might have the biggest of them all, and shes an unlockable character too.

So now theres lolis, legal age ♥♥♥♥♥s, and a G-milf. Covers all the bases really. Of course theres ALSO $85 in DLC, most of the being clothing options that are meh so no big loss, but like $30 of that being characters you have to buy, so its almost as bad as injustice 2 in regards to milking DLC and giving a giant midle finger to the customer. Boy stop hateing kagura is best char behind rin and dijoi because of her large aoe attacks if ur bad then thats on u by dont blame the chars for your mistakes and slwo reaction time. If you like Shinovi, you'll enjoy Estival even more. At its core it's more of the same, but improved all around.DLC isn't necesary. It's extras if you complete the game, but even without it there is a ton to do.

I'm almost 50 hours in, no DLC, and still many missions to complete and many characters at low level to learn. The default character roster is quite large (27, I believe), with each girl having different attacks, combo styles, and hidden mechanics to learn.

Definitely worth it even for just the base game, I'm not disappointed at all.
