Outlook Loading Profile Stuck 2019
Outlook 2016 sets up correctly (initially) and then loads fine. Then the user closes and reopens Outlook. The problem is that now it loads to the blue Outlook screen saying 'loading profile'. Installing Office updates. To check for Office updates, do the following: Open Outlook. Click on File. Click on Office Account. Click the Update Options button located on the right-side. Click the Update Now option. Quick Tip: If you don't see the Update Now option, you may need to click Enable Updates first.
I am running a hybrid setup with o365. I recently turned on MFA for myself as a test. When I log into portal.office.com it all works just fine like it should and my iphone works fine too. I set it up for app verification so when I log in, it uses the MS authentication app. I then created an app password for outlook and that is the password it would accept, not my domain password. After I switched it to do not use app passwords the portal and my phone still works as it should but now my outlook on my windows 10 desktop when I open, asks for a password I use my domain password and it just sits there loading profile and goes no further.Do I have to use an app password?
Yeah because now that you enabled Multi Factor Authentication MFA you.MUST. create an application password for EACH AND EVERY instance of Outlook. Sims 4 custom aspiration mod 1. So you have to logon to office 365, click on your picture and go to MY ACCOUNT, then go to SECURITY AND PRIVACY, then click on ADDITIONAL SECURITY VERIFICATION and then open CREATE AND MANAGE APP PASSWORDSThen click on CREATE and give it a description.
Like WORK EMAIL and it will generate a password that ONLY WORKS on that PC.You will have to do this individually for ALL applications that use your EMAIL. Each one will have a different password. I've seen the perpetual loading problem before and it isn't a MFA issue, but with Outlook Authentication.
I've run into this recently on a couple of our users' machines so fresh on my mind.Try a quick repair of Office and that usually fixes. There's also quite a few other threads here and across the web about similar problems and even a possible registry fix for that issue.Lastly, make sure you have modern authentication enabled for your tenant for Exchange Online. It has been the default for a while, but if the tenant is over a year old it may not have been enabled yet.

I've been known to be wrong but its exactly what happens to my clients and I fix it all the time. With that procedure.I can access outlook if I create an app password but then I am stuck with a password that never expires and difficult to remember. I was hoping that I could continue to use my domain password. I'm going to keep an eye on this thread. I have MFA activated on my account, and I did run the PowerShell command to enable ModernAuth in our tenant. I used to use an app password before enabling ModernAuth, but was able to do away with it.
It's been just long enough that I can't remember if I had to jump through any hoops to get Outlook to successfully log in. I wouldn't be surprised if I had to create a new Outlook profile to make a clean break.For fun, I would suggest clearing the Credential Manager stored passwords and tokens for Microsoft 'stuff', then create a new Outlook profile. See if you can get through all the configuration steps with it. When I sign in I get an iPhone lock screen notification that I can press hard to get to the Approve button.
